City Info | Girard is a city in and the county seat of Crawford County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 2,789. Girard was founded in the spring of 1868, in opposition to Crawfordsville, and named after the town of Girard, Pennsylvania, the former home of trustee Charles Strong.
